A Bunch Of Guys

This guy in a sub

being depth charged

opens his grin of a mouth

to sprays

purting down on his head

and streaming his face,

licks,

laughs,

yells out, “Damn boys,

but ain’t it salty!” 

 

Another guy stuck

with himself killing

any life he can

without mercy

accepts the needle

and himself. 

 

This guy who’s a monk i

n an abbey

gathers a roll of fat

at his waist in a fist

and, squeezing it hard,

wonders whose it is. 

 

Another guy comes home

early and sick

to see his wife spread wide

to his friend

starts to sit down in a chair

but instead picks it up. 

 

These guys all please God

more than any believe.
