Artist Claims to Capture Kinetic Energy in Photographs
According to United States Geological Survey Hawaiian Volcano Observatory earthquakes radiate kinetic energy just like ukuleles and other musical instruments do when they are played. While the earth is continually making "music" much of its music is outside the range of the human ear. Of course if you are close enough to an eruption or the center of a quake you will be able to feel it even if you cannot hear it.You can feel music and you can also feel the earth’s energy if you are close to it, but is there any way to see kinetic energy? One artist believes there is and he believes that he can take pictures of that energy. If he's not capturing the energy itself, he says he believes that he is at least capturing pictures of “energy trails”. Michael J. Waddell, who signs his pictures, michael10, has let us reproduce one of his pictures to illustrate his point.
