My Quito host, Alfredo, long has shared his breakfast bread with his feathered friends by placing a dish of crumbs on the edge of his terrace situated high above the city.  In recent weeks he began to scatter some of the goodies nearer and nearer the dining room door.  Three days ago, he placed a tidbit on the end of the dining table and promptly left the room.  He returned minutes later and the goodie was gone from the table!

I need a motion-activated camera!

By the way, it's still a bit chilly here in the late afternoon and evening.
